These Terms & Cancellation Policy ("Terms") govern your reservation for the It Girl Mexico Retreat (the "Retreat") and any other in-person retreat, bootcamp, or event operated by MAI Pilates LLC d/b/a It Girl ("It Girl," "we," "us," or "our"), whether held within the United States or at an international location, and are between you ("Participant," "Attendee," "you," or "your") and It Girl. By submitting an application, making a payment, or attending an It Girl retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not apply for or attend an It Girl retreat.
It Girl organizes and hosts in-person, multi-day fitness and wellness retreats that may include, without limitation, group training, pilates, strength programming, wellness and recovery services, guided excursions and adventure activities, lodging, and meals. Your Retreat purchase covers the accommodations, scheduled group programming, meals, activities, excursions, and local transportation that It Girl expressly identifies as included on the booking page or final itinerary. Flights, passports or visas, travel insurance, personal purchases, medical expenses, and any services not expressly identified as included are the Attendee's responsibility. Retreats may take place at domestic (U.S.) or international destinations, and the specific itinerary, activities, accommodations, and included/excluded items for each retreat are described in the materials provided at the time of application and acceptance.
Participation in an It Girl retreat is by application only. Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot. A spot is reserved for you only once (a) It Girl has accepted your application, and (b) It Girl has received your required payment. Spots are limited and are allocated on a first-accepted, first-secured basis.
All information provided in your application (including but not limited to health, fitness, and contact information) must be true, accurate, and complete. It Girl reserves the right to decline any application, or to rescind an acceptance prior to the retreat, at its sole discretion.
For the It Girl Mexico Retreat, the price is $3,000 USD per Attendee. A $1,500 non-refundable reservation deposit is due at booking, and the remaining $1,500 is due September 20, 2026. Your reservation is confirmed only after the required deposit is successfully received. For other retreats, the total price and any installment schedule (for example, a deposit followed by a final balance) will be disclosed to you prior to acceptance. Failure to pay any installment by its due date may result in cancellation of your reservation and release of your spot, without refund or credit, at It Girl's discretion.
All prices are listed and charged in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated, regardless of whether the retreat takes place domestically or internationally. Except where this Section 4 or Sections 5–7 expressly provide otherwise, or applicable law requires otherwise, all Retreat payments are non-refundable for Attendee-initiated cancellations.
Attendee-initiated cancellations are non-refundable, and no credit, transfer, or placement on a future It Girl retreat is guaranteed. Because It Girl commits retreat costs in advance and future retreats may be application-based, capacity-limited, or subject to separate selection criteria, cancelling one retreat does not create a right to attend or receive credit toward another.
In exceptional circumstances, It Girl may choose to approve a credit or transfer in writing. Any accommodation is discretionary, applies only on the specific terms stated in It Girl's written approval, may be subject to availability or future selection requirements, and does not guarantee acceptance or placement on a future retreat. Granting an accommodation in one instance does not require It Girl to provide the same accommodation in another.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to joinitgirl@gmail.com. The cancellation date is the date It Girl receives the written notice, not the date it was sent. Any credit or transfer approved under this section is non-transferable to another person, has no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. This policy applies equally to retreats held within the United States and to retreats held at international destinations. Cancellations by It Girl are instead governed by Sections 6 and 7.
It Girl reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the retreat itinerary, activities, instructors, accommodations, coaches, vendors, transportation arrangements, meals, or venue when circumstances require, and may substitute reasonably comparable alternatives. Such reasonable changes do not constitute cancellation of the retreat and do not entitle an Attendee to a refund.
If It Girl cancels the retreat in its entirety prior to the start date for reasons within It Girl's reasonable control, and does not provide a substantially equivalent rescheduled retreat accepted by the Attendee, Attendees will receive a full refund of all payments made directly to It Girl. Cancellations due to circumstances beyond It Girl's reasonable control are instead governed by Section 7 (Force Majeure).
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, It Girl is not responsible for expenses incurred outside of payments made directly to It Girl, including airfare, transportation, separately booked lodging, lost wages, or other travel-related expenses. Attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
It Girl is not responsible for any failure, delay, modification, postponement, or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather or hurricane, natural disaster, fire, public health emergency, government action or travel restriction, civil unrest, terrorism, labor disruption, transportation interruption, utility failure, or venue unavailability caused by such circumstances.
If a retreat cannot reasonably proceed due to such circumstances, It Girl will use commercially reasonable efforts to reschedule the retreat or provide affected Attendees with a future-retreat credit where reasonably available. Any future placement remains subject to availability and, where applicable, selection requirements. To the extent It Girl actually recovers Attendee-attributable amounts already paid to venues, vendors, or other third parties, It Girl may pass through corresponding refunds to affected Attendees. Recovery of non-refundable third-party costs is not guaranteed, and It Girl will not be responsible for airfare or other travel-related expenses incurred by Attendees.
It Girl retreats involve physical activity, including but not limited to strength training, pilates, and other exercise, as well as recreational and adventure excursions such as water activities, snorkeling, hiking, and travel to remote or natural sites. These activities carry inherent risks of injury, illness, or death, some of which cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken.
BY APPLYING FOR AND ATTENDING AN IT GIRL RETREAT, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION, WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, AND YOU RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS IT GIRL, ITS OWNERS, COACHES, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND ANY THIRD-PARTY VENUES, VENDORS, OR PARTNERS INVOLVED IN THE RETREAT (COLLECTIVELY, THE "RELEASED PARTIES") FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, INJURIES, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE RELEASED PARTIES' OWN NEGLIGENCE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. Where a retreat takes place outside the United States, you further acknowledge that local emergency, medical, and safety infrastructure may differ from what is available domestically.
Certain accommodations, transportation, excursions, meals, wellness services, or other retreat components may be provided by independent third parties. Those providers may require separate terms, consents, or waivers. It Girl uses reasonable care in selecting providers but does not control their independent acts or omissions, and nothing in this section waives any right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Each Attendee will be required to sign a separate, retreat-specific waiver and release of liability prior to participation, presented in a clear and conspicuous format. That document contains the primary, controlling release of liability for the retreat and supplements this section.
You represent that you are physically able to participate in the activities offered at the retreat, and that you have disclosed to It Girl, honestly and completely, any medical condition, injury, allergy, or limitation that could affect your ability to safely participate. It Girl strongly recommends that you consult a physician before attending, particularly if you have any pre-existing medical condition. It Girl coaches are not medical professionals, and nothing provided during the retreat constitutes medical advice.
You are solely responsible for arranging and paying for your own transportation to and from the retreat location (including flights), passports, visas, entry requirements, baggage, and timely arrival, unless expressly stated as included for a specific retreat. For international retreats, you are solely responsible for confirming entry and health requirements of the destination country and for complying with all applicable foreign, federal, state, and local laws while traveling and attending the retreat. It Girl is not responsible for any losses, delays, or additional costs resulting from travel disruptions, missed connections, denied entry, or documentation issues.
Travel insurance that includes trip cancellation/interruption, medical treatment, and emergency evacuation is strongly recommended, particularly for international retreats. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific retreat, It Girl does not provide individual travel insurance.
Attendees are expected to treat coaches, staff, venue personnel, local communities, and fellow Attendees with respect and to follow reasonable safety instructions. It Girl may remove any Attendee from a retreat, without refund or credit, for conduct that is dangerous, unlawful, materially disruptive, harassing, or threatening, as reasonably determined by It Girl. An Attendee removed for serious misconduct is responsible for her own onward transportation and related expenses.
It Girl and its representatives may photograph or record video during retreats for use in marketing, social media, and promotional materials. Before attending, each Attendee will be asked to separately confirm the following consent as part of the onboarding process: "I understand that photography and video recording will occur during the retreat and consent to It Girl using photographs and recordings in which I appear for its website, social media, advertising, and promotional purposes." An Attendee who does not wish to be photographed or recorded may decline in writing at that time, and It Girl will make reasonable efforts to honor that request.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will the Released Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your application, payment, or participation in an It Girl retreat. To the extent any liability is not otherwise validly released under Section 8, the Released Parties' total aggregate liability to you will not exceed the total amount you paid to It Girl for the retreat giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or negligent, reckless, or intentional acts or omissions that cause injury or property damage to another person. Claims for your own injury are addressed exclusively by Section 8 and the retreat-specific liability waiver.
This agreement is intended to apply regardless of an Attendee's place of residence. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of the country or state in which a retreat takes place, and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or an It Girl retreat will be resolved exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction in Travis County, Texas, to whose personal jurisdiction you consent. Nothing in these Terms waives any mandatory consumer or other legal protection that cannot lawfully be waived, and mandatory law applicable where an incident or service occurs may still apply.
Personal information collected for booking and retreat administration will be handled in accordance with It Girl's applicable privacy notice and law. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
It Girl may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes for a specific retreat. The version of these Terms presented to and accepted by you at the time of booking/payment will govern your reservation and participation in that retreat. Any subsequent changes will not materially alter the terms applicable to an existing confirmed booking without the Attendee's consent, except where required by law. Where an electronic approval is collected as part of the application process, that record is intended to evidence your assent to the version presented before payment; no signature or initials are required on this page itself. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
